Make the brownies according to the directions on the brownie mix package. While they are baking you can then make the topping. My family loved this recipe with ice cream. The brownies are sweet and the ice cream helped break up the sweetness a little.

Brownie Topping
2 tsp. instant coffee powder or crystals
2 tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tbsp butter, softened
Dissolve the coffee powder in the water. add the vanilla, powdered sugar, and butter. Blend well. Slowly pour the topping over the warm brownies. Use a spatula to spread the topping evenly.

Serve warm or cold
